MS: I like your website, very impressive. One thing though, I did a quick look at the source and did not find meta tags for the search engines.
BILL: Yep, SEO is a priority. I was doing UI Testing last week and felt a "go" on the site. Would you say I am hurting myself at this point or not maximizing the opportunity?
MS: If you registered before with Google and yahoo I would suggest getting the meta tags in as soon as feasible. I also use Google analytics (I learned that from the session at I attended where you were on the panel). Today Google has the ability to evaluate your web site using a sitemap, if it is registered, that points to your pages so if they are dynamic like most of mine it will see the dynamic contest.
BILL: I have my programmer/designer working on this. I am using Google Analytics. Here is his response to your email: ""Meta tagging is only one SEO avenue, and is helpful. We'll take anything we can. Have submitted to all search engines, built a sitemap.xml, coded meta data, verified keywords, optimized site for SEO.”

I appreciate that it seems to 'practice what you preach' - namely 'that truth' reflected clearly and in compelling way. Since you asked, allow me to offer a few questions that might be help you further clarify your communication: 1) Your experience set is top-notch, but what would an engagement look like with 'my' organization [insert potential client name]?; 2) Do you have a team? What resources do you bring in?; 3) What is your call to action for someone visiting your site?; and 4) On your blog it might be helpful to provide 1-click ways for RSS feeds.
BILL: Great feedback. That's why I asked! Already I have UI Tested the site with about 30 people across professions and interested. The comments over the last 24 hours have included SEO recommendations and content direction like yours. Will have to think about how best to clarify and provide a call-to-action. Any more ideas, let me know.

BD: It is a really great site - love not only the content but the design. Nicely done. You are certainly tapped into all of the social sites too! Very cool. Actually I had never even heard of that social "readers" site (can't even remember the name as I type this)... That was a very interesting site too (came across it while exploring your site... Shelfari maybe?
BILL: Thanks for the feedback. Like I said, a labor of love for all involved. Shelfari is pretty cool although I haven't kept up with it as much as I could.

DF: I went through the site—wow—you have been very busy!!! Loved the case study sections—very engaging site—the only thing I might add is a personal message from you (maybe it was there but I did not find it). Yes, I’m talking about an actual video/audio clip where I could experience you as a potential customer. I think it would actually be more engaging than some of the models (although I love the pyramid).

BS: I love it. The animation is very cool. The graphics throughout the whole site are excellent. The brand is strong and consistent. The navigation is intuitive. And I like the blog feature too.
